The export can be sent directly to RESTful service (an http site) that can receive the JSON file. It can also be sent directly to a directory on a network drive where the company's backend system pulls data.
To utilize the new JSON template it must be selected as the default export template by an admin user at a company. Once selected the export template will be applied to all accounting exports done by all users at a company.
To access the accounting export settings click the "Admin Settings" tab at the bottom of the application window.
Next, click "Company Settings" in the ribbon at the top of the window.
Now click the "Export" tab and Select the "JSON" template.
Once you have configured your export settings they can be saved by clicking the check button at the bottom of the window.
To export a project using the newly set parameters open a project spreadsheet, click the "Export/Import" tab at the top of the window, then click the "Generic Export" button in the ribbon at the top of the page. Select "Jason Export" from the drop-down list.
This button can The project will be exported using the JSON template and parameters previously defined.
The JSON button is now available on the main spreadsheet toolbar, so a project can be opened and quickly exported to a file or location.
